Food Drive for Salvation Army

Thanks to all those that gave for the food collection for the Salvation Army. We had a great response to this from the congregation. It's sad that lots of Food Pantrys are running low and don't have enough to share.

Boone Co Fair Board Appreciation Dinner

Zion had a good turn out at the Boone Co Fair Board Appreciation Dinner tonight. Food was good and of course all the Zion Folks there made it that much more special.

A BIG THANKS to John Bender for running the Zion part of the show. Without him, we'd be lost. Good Job John !!

First day of LOGOS

First day of LOGOS and i think the kids were excited about it. Here are a bunch waiting 15 minutes prior to start and they were already gathering around the entry.




Since it was such a beautiful day, no since wasting it, so outside the kids went.

Update on that White Pipe out front !!

The white pipe you saw out front of the church is gone. myself and Arlyn connected the sump pump pipe back to its underground companion this afternoon. Arlyn and his magic came up with the idea and parts. I did the digging.

So now, all that is left is for Dan "the green thumb lawn man" to make the front yard look great again !!!

Outdoor Neighbor Party at Zion

After the Packer victory today... we held a party outside..

well, no, actually.............,

we held a Neighborhood Party just cause we did. We invited the christian band Epiphany, to entertain us. They were very good. Everyone had a good time. Weather was perfect. You should have been there.

Septic Tank pump replacment fun

Saturday morning was a messy, kinda stinky, hard working time at the church. The Septic tank pump had to be replaced.. you know, ,, that noisy thing you hear doing service on sunday. The old one had bearing problems.. although I dont know why.. it was only in there for 38 years !!! So.. John, Arlyn, Mel, and me. (thats why no picture of the actual replacement.. it took 4 of us to get the old puppy out of the hole !)






Here is the device that Arland put together (with an electric hoist) to get that heavy old one out.

Fresh look to the Youth Room

In case you haven't been down to the Youth room lately, its received a little TLC. The carpet has been shampooed and the walls painted and some new ceiling tiles added.

Boone Co Fair - Sunday - Final Day results

Sunday was the last day of the boone co fair. It was very hot in that sun all day, taking tickets and watching the crowd. The 1pm show went til after 5 and then we turned around and did the 6pm show til 930pm. Thanks to all those that showed up and helped out.
